Position: Coordinator, Technology Projects & Support.
Job Description: The Coordinator for Technology Projects and Support is a key part of the Associated Students of University Nevada (ASUN) Center for Student Engagement (CSE). The Coordinator ensures that current and future initiatives align with and support Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), University and student services recrutiment, persistance, graduation and diversity goals. The Coordinator reports to the Associate Director for Programs and Services and provides planning, design, installation and maintenance of technology in support of departmental goals and objectives. The incumbent coordinates the technology aspects of student elections and the campus monitor and software program. The Coordinator manages all databases, request for assessment and data of initiatives, and advises the Data Assessment Management team.
40% - Technology Projects Administration
• Oversee technology initiatives in support of ASUN/ CSE programs and services
• Direct the daily operations and implementation of technology efforts integral to operations of various programs including campus escort communications systems, campus-wide information monitors, various websites, video casts, podcasts, departmental technical support, hardware and software needs, online calendar of events and One Card system technology, phones, credit card machines, assessment and financial databases, list serves and ASUN e-mail addresses
• Administer and implement digital sign software (Visex)and various software technologies
• Monitor requests and negotiate contracts for purchase and installation of all technology equipment purchased through the ASUN Capital account including but not limited to radio station technology, communications and GPS equipment, desktop computers, hardware and software packages for personal and Macintosh computers, digital cameras and recorders, campus information printers, graphic plotters and scanners, etc.
• Maintain inventory of all ASUN technology equipment and oversee repairs of all equipment and warranty needs
• Administer and implement strategic plan in relation to division and university goals
• Train new users on use of technology around websites, hardware and software
• Create and maintain policy and procedure manuals for consistency
25% - Assessment
• Manage databases related to data and assessment
• Assist the Director with reporting data and assessment
• Compile data/statistics to support service funding and staffing
• Implement regular assessment of quality of service delivery and make relevant changes based on assessment results
• Use assessment data to support funding requests and use of human and capital resources related to CSE technology projects
• Use assessment results to strategically plan for future expansion of CSE technology projects
25% - Supervision and Training
• Supervise student employees including webmasters for various websites
• Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate student employment staff
• Supervise/monitor various programs including all ASUN / CSE technology support, campus wide information monitors, and websites
• Administer student employee development programs in use of technology
• Advise the Data Assessment Technology team tasked with utilizing mobile technology to assess various programs and services
10% - Professional Development
• Develop and present workshops and seminars at regional and national conferences
• Attend professional development workshops, conferences and trainings

Indicate the minimum qualifications which are necessary in filling this position:
Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience in technology resource management, computer information systems, or related field
