Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer/Director of Clinical Operations, the Associate Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for the on-going operations and quality of patient care in assigned sites throughout the program. The Associate Director will work closely with the clinicians, nursing, and all staff at these locations in evaluating the current organization of services and establishing standards for and monitoring quality of care. The position is responsible for overall operations, management of personnel and for directly supervising the managers of those sites.
The Associate Director will work in conjunction with a clinical operations team to insure appropriate program oversight, integration of services, and compliance with all regulatory and quality assurance matters.
Provides oversight of assigned clinical sites including the on-going operations and quality of patient care.
Has direct supervisory responsibility for all managers in assigned sites including hiring, orientation and training, support, performance management and disciplinary action.
Is responsible for the coordination and development of all assigned sites.
Provides oversight of the continuing quality assurance processes related to practice at assigned sites to support high quality medical care.
Provides oversight of practice and management at assigned sites.
Is responsible for the coordination and oversight of staffing at assigned sites assuring adequate and qualified healthcare to patients.
Participates in program-wide continuing quality improvement processes, especially as they relate to nursing practice in the assigned sites to assure that patient care policies and procedures meet quality assurance standards of practice.
Assists the Chief Operating Officer in assuring regulatory compliance and safe practice. Works with the COO and the Medical Director to assure compliance with all government, contract, licensing and regulatory requirements for health care services and to establish reporting and tracking systems top meet requirements for funding and reimbursement.
Provides oversight of staff development at the assigned sites. Assures that all new staff members receive a thorough orientation to Boston Health Care for the Homeless program and their site, and assures effective in-service training programs for on-going staff education.

Participates in program-wide planning or problem-solving committees/forums as required.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Supervises directly all managers of the assigned sites. This includes hiring, orientation and training, support, performance management and disciplinary action.
