Job Description

The Web Interface Designer within Marketing and Communications reports to the Director, Web Development. The Web Interface Designer is primarily responsible for designing website user interfaces (“front-end” development) using modern development techniques and forward-thinking strategy. The position seeks to balance aesthetic design with robust usability, offering website visitors a better experience when trying to find information online. The position also consults on the integration of web-based technologies and manages student interns as needed. The ideal candidate will be motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming; be responsible for creating first in class UI/UX web designs as well as the translation of the design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application; be a member of an exciting and engaging agile development team working with the .Net Framework, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and other technologies to enhance and implement applications.


Required Qualifications

Associate's Degree from an accredited institution and three years of relevant experience or

Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience or

Master's degree and one year of relevant experience

Relevant experience: HTML, CSS, and Javascript or other related web interface program
