The Strother lab (https://strotherlab.blogs.unr.edu/) at the University of Nevada, Reno, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Cognitive Neuroscience. The Strother lab is part of Cognitive and Brain Sciences in the Psychology department (http://groups.unr.edu/unr_psych_cbs/CBS_grad_program/index.html), which has a longstanding focus on human vision. Researchers with interests in visual perception and object recognition, and any aspect of the neural processing of biologically or socially relevant stimuli (e.g. bodies, faces, letters, words) are encouraged to apply. Our NIH COBRE-funded Center for Integrative Neuroscience (https://www.unr.edu/neuroscience/center) offers functional MRI (3T), high-density array (256-ch) EEG, and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). The center is also in the process of developing a neuroimaging-compatible virtual reality research facility.
The position is available as early as March 1, 2018, with a flexible start date. Applications will be assessed as they arrive. Salary will be based on NIH post-doctoral rates and commensurate with experience. The position is a non-tenure-track full-time ‘A' contract appointment for 12 months with potential for renewal for additional years.

PhD degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related discipline.
A strong research record in a substantive area of cognition or perception, and strong link to neural processes are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience in human fMRI design and data analysis is highly desirable, as well as strong computer programming skills (Matlab/Psychtoolbox).
