Job Description The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and execution of assigned projects including monitoring project schedules, work assignments, budgets and manpower expenditures. The Project Manager is the primary interface with the client, contractors, client's engineer, internal Engineering department, vendors and internal technical service representatives.

This Sr. Project Manager role will be responsible for managing projects and business development within the industrial sector (grain terminals/silos, liquefied natural gas, petcoke and other liquefied terminal).

This role is anticipated to progress to a Program/Engineering Group Manager role as business opportunities are realized.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management

Project Management covering all engineering phases from basic, detail, commissioning, and construction according to the contractual requirements;
Ensure that the right product is developed and delivered to meet Company's quality standard, and contract requirements;
Utilize project management methodologies, system and tools as defined by Company;
Lead Project Teams and facilitate the communication and interaction amongst the functional representatives;
Track project against its schedule, budget and against phase review objectives, reporting status to management and customer on a regular basis, and executive staff on an as needed basis;
Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities;
Prepare periodic management and/or customer reports and presentations;
Approval and/or coordination of engineering project teams;
Prepare and conduct Project Kick-Off Meetings and Project Meetings;
Review and verify project estimates monthly;
Provide feedback regarding employee performance on a project team to the functional manager for documentation;
Recommend new processes where needed to improve quality or on-time delivery.

Business Development

Further develop successful relationships that facilitate the growth of work opportunities with our current clients;
Identify new clients and opportunities for engineering consulting services in the industrial sector (grain terminals/silos, liquefied natural gas, petcoke and other liquefied terminal);
Arranges and leads company services and capabilities presentations;
Collaborates with other company Business Development professionals to monitor market conditions, trends and develop strategies to optimize the company's ability to provide a competitive product;
Collaborates or leads in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.

Job Requirements Qualifications

Fifteen (15) years engineering experience in the industrial sector (grain terminals/silos, liquefied natural gas, petcoke and other liquefied terminal);
Demonstrated, proven skills in the specific areas such as process and/or mechanical design and engineering;
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil or Chemical), Engineering Technology or closely related field;
Strong negotiation skills;
Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office software;
Knowledge of data-based project control systems (cost control & scheduling tools) is preferred.
