Continuously seeks opportunities to support strategic transformation in planning, implementing, and evaluating better business practices to produce strong program results and meaningful outcomes

GOALS & OBJECTIVES
  • Facilitate strategic and tactical planning for Beacon Health Options, goal and objective setting, establishment of meaningful metrics and successful data collections strategies
  • Analyze the break-even levels for products and service margins, and overall center profitability on an ongoing basis
  • Interpret data, analyzing results using various industry-proven techniques and providing ongoing reports in support of IT financial analysis
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data to feed analysis
  • Determine operations costs by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data
  • Identify and understand financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with the budget and forecast
  • Guide cost analysis processes by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions
  • Improve financial status and enhance transparency by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
  • Provide recommendations by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials
  • Protect the Service Management & Transformation Office by keeping financial and other sensitive information confidential
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
  • Provide 'What if' and sensitivity analysis to understand financial trends and inform key decisions
  • Develop and maintain key alliances with potential partners and vendors and service providers
  • Provide transparency into IT spend and identify opportunities to improve alignment, optimize costs and inform budget considerations
  • Collaborate with the IT Leadership Team and Finance to facilitate in the annual budget planning process
  • Collaborate with the IT leadership to create and maintain the CIO Scorecard and Dashboard, reporting on key IT metrics in partnership with the Service Management team
  • Keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends
  • Support strategic and transformational projects
  • Create a measurement system and/or tool to assess awareness, understanding, buy-in and support of change management activities
  • Share knowledge, mentor and educate team members and key organizational stakeholders, regarding opportunities and challenges related to the company's technological roadmap and future vision / IT strategy

Position Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in related field with superior academic performance
  • BS/ BA/ BBA in Computer Science/Business Information Systems or similar technical degree preferred; Business minor or MBA a plus


Relevant Work Experience:
  • 5+ years' experience in a combination of IT planning/delivery and operations with a track record of success.
  • Healthcare experience necessary, preferably in a payer organization
  • Business System Analysis experience a plus including data flow analysis/process mapping, financial analysis and analytics
  • Demonstrate experience developing analysis, presentations, support material and facilitation skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
  • Ability to collaborate with and understand the needs of C-level executives and translate those needs into actionable results and plans
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, negotiate diplomatically, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline pressure
  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects autonomously
  • Ability to think strategically and act in a detailed, hands-on manner
  • Proficient in of Microsoft Office Applications especially Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel
  • HIPAA and other Regulatory Knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with enterprise level IT agile delivery/transformations
