Hall's Culligan Water and PrairieFire Coffee Roasters is looking for an ambitious and driven Systems Engineer to join our technology team. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for support and execution of technology projects across the organizations. In addition, he/she will be responsible for supporting and maintaining existing systems and networks as well as deploy new systems and technology.

  • Escalated break/fix support to our employees and systems
  • Technical support for a broad range of products including Cisco phone system
  • Operate as an additional tier of support on issues escalated from the help desk
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery systems and various network equipment
  • Work directly with CIO on future designs and project strategies
  • Maintain knowledge of industry threats


Technical Requirements

The Systems Engineer position will require intermediate to advanced knowledge and proficiency in the following technologies:

  • VMWare vSphere
  • Citrix XenApp
  • Server technologies and operating systems; Windows server knowledge required, Linus a plus
  • iSCSI and NFS storage technologies
  • Docker and containerized technologies
  • Security solutions including anti-spam technologies, IDS/IPS concepts, and webfilter technologies
  • Networking concepts and technologies such as HP and Cisco switching configuration, Cisco firewall and router configuration


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or similiar field OR equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of information technology experience
  • Outgoing, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude that easily adapts to change
  • Able to develop and maintain positive, effective relationships at all organizational levels
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated, excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Stellar communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong process improvement, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to work independently with minor direction
  • Strong knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to job duties
  • Team player with a positive, professional image
  • Ability to travel to other locations as necessary
  • Physically able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
