Department of Orthodontics & Oral Facial Genetics

The Department of Orthodontics and Oral Facial Genetics is seeking applicants at the rank of assistant or associate professor for its pre-doctoral program director position. This is a tenure-track position that will provide a remarkable opportunity for professional growth and significant impact on the orthodontic education offered by the institution. The duties of this position will include the complete coordination of the pre-doctoral orthodontic educational experience, with a primary focus on didactic and clinical instruction within the pre-doctoral orthodontic curriculum. Additionally, the appointee will be engaged with graduate level research as well as selected didactic and/or clinical responsibilities within the post-graduate orthodontic curriculum. Our department is committed to excellence in academic and clinical instruction, innovative and collaborative research, utilization of best practices with current and emerging technologies, and optimizing patient-centered care.

The successful candidate must be able to complement a team environment and have an energetic dedication to professional service. Candidates will be expected to actively interact with school and departmental administration to ensure the satisfactory attainment of pre-doctoral educational standards and initiatives. Scholarly activities are a requirement of this tenure-track position.

Minimum qualifications include completion of a DDS/DMD or equivalent dental degree, and must have a Master's Degree or a Certificate in Orthodontics from a program accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation and be Board eligible. It is preferred that the candidate is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and/or is dual-trained in another specialty or possesses a PhD. In addition, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in an orthodontic educational setting. The successful appointee must qualify for an Indiana Dental License. Rank and salary will be based on the applicant's credentials and experience.
