As a mid to senior level Front-end Specialist Software Engineer, you will be working as a part of the development team with a focus on application feature development. As a part of our front-end focus group you’ll build UIs with lots of opportunities for shared components and patterns across products using the React ecosystem. You will be a mentor to other members of the front-end focus group and lead the effort on developing and communicating best practices for UI development. You will be solving complex use cases that require close collaboration with product management and engineers who specialize in design, front-end UIs, and microservices.
As a part of the overall software team, you’ll work collaboratively using agile practices to ship software incrementally with frequent customer/stakeholder feedback. You’ll participate in design and code reviews for all parts of the application and share goals and planning activities with the wider team. You will have a focus on building efficient and reusable components for product UIs, but will also have a hand in helping the team develop, operate, and scale our back-end systems (Node.js, PHP) and infrastructure (AWS).
This full-time, exempt position is located in our Portland, Oregon office and reports to the Principal Software Engineer.
