The Dallas office of SmithGroupJJR, is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team.   

Working with us, you will:

  • Leads the electrical engineering design for small or medium projects, or assists with a major portion of large projects, assuring that technical, schedule and hours-expended targets are met in accordance with client expectations and applicable professional standards.
  • Produces and coordinates the electrical engineering portion of construction documents for permitting and bidding on small projects.
  • Creates and develops planning and design concepts for more complex projects.
  • Oversees design work of others to ensure an integrated and cohesive design.
  • Revises, reviews, and coordinates construction documents.
  • Reviews RFP’s and determines submission requirements.


Electrical-Electronics Engineering


An ideal candidate has:

  • 4 or more years of Electrical Engineering experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
  • LEED accreditation, preferred.
  • Has working knowledge of the design and construction process, codes, project administration and administration procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
