Job Description

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an exceptional and experienced Development Manager to further our success by building strong, high leverage relationships.

About us

Our vision is simple: we want a better world - where corruption is challenged and accountability prevails, all can thrive within the planet’s boundaries, and governments act in the public interest.

At Global Witness we investigate and campaign to stop human rights and environmental abuses caused by corruption and the exploitation of natural resources.

We’ve had another successful year and expect to meet our $14million target. We’re now hiring a Development Manager to support us to raise even more.

About the role

As our Development Manager you’ll have a hands on approach to working with our senior team to maximize revenue. You’ll identify and cultivate new prospects in North America and facilitate and secure income from our existing high value relationships to meet our ambitious fundraising targets.

You’ll lead and inspire a Development Associate, providing key managerial support in this fast paced team.

To help us continue our critical and valuable work, you’ll identify and devise ways to develop new high value relationships to secure income for the future.

About you

You’ll be an experienced fundraiser who has a track record in navigating and developing relationships with high net worth individuals in the U.S.

You’ll be organized with an ability to prioritize to meet deadlines within a creative and entrepreneurial environment.

As well as working with your development colleagues in the U.S. and London, you’ll work with a broad range of stakeholders from our CEO in London to our policy advisors in the U.S. so it’s essential you’re a team player who is collaborative in approach.
