DESCRIPTION
DSS, Inc is Hiring.

We are looking for candidates within majors such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 3.5 + GPAs or better and that have significant work, project or internship experience. We are seeking New Grads or Alumni for the following positions:

Junior M Developers:
  • The junior M developer promotes DSS, Inc.'s mission by providing the highest quality software within a structured maturity model environment.
  • The incumbent will perform many development tasks using M/Cache technology within a typical day including but not limited to:
    • creating new modules for existing products,
    • contributing to project plans,
    • performing product maintenance,
    • producing product enhancements and documentation, and
    • assisting in providing solutions to problems as required.
  • The incumbent will be a key member of the DSS project team and will be involved in all aspects of the application including analysis, requirement documentation, design, development and test site deployment.
  • The incumbent must be willing
  • The incumbent must also be willing to travel on an occasional basis.
  • In addition, the incumbent is responsible for written and verbal communication with other team members, documentation of version notes, technical manuals, work activities and other work processes.

Required Skills:
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet critical project deadlines.
  • Work independently with minimal direct management.
  • Goal oriented.
  • Good interpersonal skills along with solid organizational abilities.

Application Developer, Jr:
  • The Junior, Application Developer (DotNet, Delphi, SQL Server, etc) promotes DSS, Inc.'s mission by providing the highest quality software within a structured maturity model environment.
  • This position effectively uses client/server technology to write writes new products, create new modules for existing products, design user interfaces, contribute to project plans, perform product maintenance, produce product enhancements, and provides quick and effective solutions to problems which cannot be resolved by the product line team.
  • The incumbent will be a key member involved in all aspects of the application including: analysis, requirement documentation, design, development and test site deployment.
  • The incumbent must be willing to accept coaching in order to remove barriers and have effective working relationships.
  • The incumbent is responsible for written and verbal communication with other team members, documentation of version notes, technical manuals, work activities and other work processes.
  • The incumbent must also be willing to travel on an occasional basis.

Essential Duties:
  • Developing, building, debugging, coding and testing.
  • Working on development of new features within existing products.
  • Working on development of new products.
  • Contributing to project work planning.

Required Skills:

Technical Analyst: The Analyst position is an entry level position. Triage and handle multi-channel, Level 1, incoming customer requests for assistance with Software and applications created by DSS, Inc. and its partners. The Analyst represents the Company to its customers and may be the only personal contact a customer has with the Company.

Essential Duties:
  • Log and comply with company Office Level Agreements by responding to customer requests.
  • Log and comply with company Service Level Agreements by responding to customer requests.
  • Provides customers with known solutions and updates to customer inquiries within a timely manner as stated in the Support Services' Service Level Agreement.
  • Participate in product training to gain company, department, and product knowledge.

  • Ability to handle large volumes of phone calls (approximately 15+ daily.)


Quality Assurance Analyst, Junior: The QAA, Jr will directly contribute to the product quality of assigned product line(s) by testing and reporting defects of new and updated software programs

is assigned to one product line/Zone fulltime and may be assigned to other products as backup

Essential Duties:
  • Executes manual test cases
  • Reviews test scripts/cases
  • Updates test scripts under guidance of assigned mentor
  • Learns new software as assigned
  • Reports defects found during testing or reported by Technical Support
  • Participates in daily stand up meetings for assigned product line/Zone
  • Presents live software demonstrations to assigned product line/Zone team
  • Possesses good verbal and written communication skills
  • Updates and assists with development Training Manuals

Required Skills:
  • Prioritizes, manages time well and is detail oriented
  • Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify software defects
  • Is independent, self-motivated, proactive and results oriented
