Job Description

As the HR Manager and Lead Recruiter, you will be the premiere in-house HR professional in a quickly growing and fast-paced company! This role is responsible for developing company policy in addition to directing and coordinating human resources activities, such as recruiting and employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties:

  • Partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
  • Screening resumes
  • Performing in-person and phone interviews with prospective candidates
  • Administering appropriate company assessments
  • Performing reference checks
  • Making recommendations to company hiring managers
  • Coordinating interviews with the hiring managers
  • Following up on the interview process status
  • Communicating Knack’s values, culture, and benefits during the screening process
  • Staying current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Completing timely reports on employment activity
  • Conducting exit interviews on terminating employees
  • Ability to present and recommend new tools, policies, and processes as they align with Knack’s values
  • Ability to project Knack’s core values into the culture of our work place

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree is required. MBA or MA in HR-related field is preferred
  • Experience working in a marketing agency is a huge plus
  • 5+ years of HR Operations experience, ideally in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • Experience in sourcing and recruiting new talent
  • Ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Proficient in Office 365
  • Experience and understanding of different HR Management tools
  • Proven track record of growing and developing teams
  • High energy and intellectually curious individual with a desire to work in a result oriented, dynamic, rapid growth environment
  • Independent thinker with the ability to move a project forward, draw key insights, and plan next steps
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
