Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Material Processor is responsible for coil handling which involves removing coils from skids, loading coals to the payoff, and measuring gauge and width if the material with measuring devices
  • This position sets up the designated machine including interpreting process sheets, setting machine parameters, and using lubrication and/or wipers
  • This position is also responsible for operating the machine while adhering to quality parameters and in-process checks
  • Performs various tests to identify defects
  • This role also makes mechanical adjustments as needed and notifying maintenance as required
  • Performs data entry into the SAP software system
  • Interprets blueprints as needed
  • Maintains a clean work area
  • Operates lifting devices as trained by Materion Safety

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of previous manufacturing experience required
  • Attention to detail

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training is preferred but not required
  • Experience in a metals industrial setting preferred but not required
