Qualifications

  • Directs the scheduling, planning and coordination of major equipment installations/modifications. Oversees maintenance projects, including the scheduling and coordination of outside contractors at the facility. Prepares AFE's, including justification information, cost estimates and drawings. Tracks and monitors AFE's including commitments and charges to keep projects on budget. Develop clear and concise scope of work plan for proposed projects.
  • Recruit talent with every hiring opportunity and motivate/develop members of the department to be key leaders within the organization. Build and sustain employee engagement by creating a culture of efficient execution and an environment in which individuals and team can excel and continuously improve.
  • Responsible for utilizing and further implementing our SAP work order system for the planning and scheduling of the mechanics daily work task, weekly Preventative Maintenance schedule and to track all work that is performed back to the equipment asset history. Develops and delivers standard methods and procedures in Maintenance and Reliability to deliver consistent replicable results.
  • Has operational responsibility/accountability for site maintenance activities including the repair, maintenance and installation of equipment and the maintenance of buildings, grounds, utility systems with associated infrastructure.
  • Establishes maintenance schedules and determines proper setup and layout of work to simplify plant operations and reduce downtime.
  • Direct mechanical repair to effectively correct and properly repair equipment. Required to quickly evaluate mechanical and electrical malfunctions and make recommendations for appropriate course of action. Performs problem analysis and develops conceptual ideas into working units for resolution - Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Evaluate performance/capabilities of personnel within the team and initiate necessary counseling/training/coaching to obtain the optimum effectiveness of the employees and department
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment, gauging, and tooling, working towards zero defects and increased efficiencies
  • Responsible for plant safety to including arranging and coordinating annual fire safety inspections with local fire departments; arranging and coordinating internal safety inspections and implementing solutions to identified safety deficiencies.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Management, or related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment requiring knowledge of refrigeration, plumbing, industrial electrical and mechanical systems and maintenance, and automated manufacturing process controls and equipment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of preventative maintenance techniques/scheduling and safety management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety, OSHA standards, product quality (success rates), cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizing yield)
  • Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor and schedule work
  • Experience with repairs and maintenance of industrial machinery.
  • Broad understanding of general maintenance requirements including but not limited to mechanical repair, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, welding, construction, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
