Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., is currently looking for Journeymen Electricians who would be open to travel. This role is essential and assists the project teams in ensuring timely and successful completion of our Self-Perform Solar construction projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install PVC, Rigid and EMT conduit, above and below ground
  • Pull and terminate aluminum direct bury cable
  • Pull and terminate Medium Voltage Cable
  • Cable of reading blueprint drawings to determine methods, materials, and equipment
  • Connect and support DC wire
  • Install electrical enclosures
  • Supervise the work of apprentices
  • Unload and stage material
  • Perform electrical testing and commissioning

  • Minimum of 5 Years of Experience
  • Current with National Electrical Code (NEC) (Journeyman License a Plus)
  • AC & DC experience
  • Experience in wire pulling
  • Experience in setting equipment
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must have basic electrical hand tools
  • General knowledge of construction principles/processes required
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on construction projects
  • Proven commitment to Safety and building relationships team
  • Previous experience on construction projects preferred
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well with others
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Pay rate is determined on the current level of knowledge and experience
  • Open to travel
