Nike names a new head of human resources

Nike Inc. on Tuesday named Monique Matheson the company’s top human resources executive. The appointment comes as Nike works through a previously announced reorganization that includes eliminating 2 percent of the company’s global workforce.

She will succeed Nike veteran David Ayre, who is retiring.
