The Accounts Payable Specialist will be a key member of the Financial Services team and will work closely with Client Accounting. Adhering to established guidelines, using the Elite Enterprise Financial System, the Accounts Payable Specialist will: 1) process a high volume of domestic and foreign vendor invoices, both manually and through electronic feeds; 2) process employee expense reports using Chrome River; and 3) handle vendor inquiries.
Enter, process and pay vendor invoices and check requests, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, proper coding, expense classification and authorization.
Reconcile vendor statements and request copies of outstanding invoices.
Process costs on purchase card statements in accounting system.
Process payments electronically via ACH payment or wire.
Identify problems and propose solutions.
Respond timely to phone calls and other inquires.
Filing is maintained in a timely manner.
Works proactively with others to support efforts within a department or function of the Firm
Organizes and prioritizes assignments and contributes to the department’s ability to meet or exceed goals and standards.
Uses innovative thinking and exercises sound judgment to achieve results. Qualifications:

One to two years’ experience in an AP/Billing setting in a service firm.
Must have minimal physical mobility. Position may occasionally require standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
Must have the ability to operate equipment such as a computer and copy machine.
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and to read and follow detailed instructions.
Must have the ability to prepare assorted documents and other related materials.
Must have the ability to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines.
